Many companies have started to lean towards a more cultural and female friendly mindset as they’ve developed, one such company is Marriot International. It would seem like that’s obvious because they’re a hotel company, but I mean specifically in the work force. The have started to hire more women and people of color at the vice president level and above, and have aimed towards a supportive and inclusive work environment where they recognize the whole person. Plus, out of all 121,000 workers for Marriott, 53% of the workers are female. It may almost be a perfect 50-50 but it’s still a majority. And 41% of the work force are minority groups. That’s 49610 employees that are considered minority. So, Marriott international has done a good job incorporating these groups into their workforce.
